Overview

In palliative care, spiritual care providers can be an invaluable support to patients, families, and members of the clinical team. Master the full circle model of spiritual care in this 8-week, instructor-led online palliative care chaplaincy course. Learn how to support patient goals, help them cope with physical and spiritual pain, practice cultural humility, and understand religious differences. The Essentials of Palliative Care Chaplaincy course, though not a "prep" course, is a foundational step for Board Certified Chaplains planning to take the Palliative Care & Hospice Advanced Certification exam.

Who Should Enroll

Students enrolling in this course should be chaplains or spiritual care providers working in any clinical setting. Community clergy may also enroll if they have clinical experience/training (e.g., CPE, volunteer as hospice or hospital chaplain).

Completion and Refunds

Cancellations may be made up to the day before the first day of the course; a refund will be issued minus an administrative fee of $35. No refunds are possible for withdrawals once the course starts.
