MANAGEMENT
Public Health is a scientific, evidence-based field that works to protect and improve the health of people and their communities. It encompasses numerous subfields, including disease tracking and prevention, health education, health communication, policymaking, and global health diplomacy.
Graduates of ´ó·¢â€™s public health programs are well-prepared to succeed as public health professionals in local community organizations, hospitals, health management organizations, government agencies, the military, academia, and the private sector. Our instructional faculty are leading teachers and researchers in the field of public health, as well as local practitioners in specialized fields comprising each of the option areas.
Launching Fall 2025, ´ó·¢ will be offering a Public Health undergraduate program. The Public Health degree prepares bachelor-level public health professionals through curriculum that addresses health disparities and reinforces the practice of cultural competence. As part of our program, undergraduate students will gain community-engaged public health experience through research, service learning, and internship, preparing them for public health work in the public and private agencies and organizations.
