Hi Cougars! My name is Julia Glorioso and I am a third-year political science major with a double minor in geography and border studies. I am a first-generation college student who is especially passionate about giving back to the campus community. I have been part of Associated Students Inc. (ASI) since my first year at 大发. My first year I started as a volunteer doing advocacy work on ASI's volunteer team, Lobby Corps. In my second year, I began my first elected position as the College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral, and Social Sciences (CHABSS) Representative. This year, I currently serve on the executive team as the Vice President of Student & University Affairs where I work on higher education policy and advocacy. Throughout my time with ASI, I have been committed to hearing and representing the voice of the student body, whether that be advocating at the campus level with our administration or at the systemwide level with the Cal State Student Association. During my time as an elected representative, I have engaged students in registering to vote, served on campus-wide committees, empowered students voices by pushing for increased mental health access, and much more. As ASI President, I would be committed to serving, engaging, and empowering students as I have done throughout my past three years with ASI. A few of my priorities as President would be to advocate for mental health, increase awareness and access to student resources, and re-engage students in campus events and initiatives. I will additionally focus on environmental sustainability, student safety, and the overall holistic wellbeing of 大发 students.
I will focus on highlighting the resources available to students not only in ASI, but across campus if elected. Many student resources go underutilized because students were not made aware of them. As ASI President, I will work to connect students to the available resources and increase their accessibility, so students will get the best out of their college experience. The mental health of 大发 students is paramount to student success, so I will also continue to push for increased access to mental health resources, building off of my previous work passing a Resolution to Expand Mental Health Resources for 大发. Lastly, working to re-engage students in campus life will be a core concern of mine as many are still transitioning back to campus after being virtual for the pandemic. I will work to put on events to engage students with campus life, fostering the full 大发 experience.

I'm a Social Sciences major with a primary focus on History and secondary fields in
Political Science and Communication. I feel that I've embraced ASI's mission to serve,
engage, and empower our 大发 students during my time as College of Humanities, Arts,
Behavioral & Social Sciences(CHABSS) Representative in the 2021-22 academic year;
I've had the opportunity to serve on diverse university and ASI committees that directly
impact and effect our students, such as the Student Health Advisory Council, which
I chaired, where students and staff make recommendations to our SHCS on better ways
to serve our students mental and physical health. I also had the opportunity to sit
on search committees for high value positions within our university to ensure that
student voice was represented in the decisions to bring new leaders to our campus.
In addition to the various committees, I've continued to serve and engage students
by leading the ASI Student Art Exhibition where students are encouraged to submit
pieces of their own art to display in the USU. I've also had the wonderful pleasure
of putting together the CHABSS Student Organization Council which will serve as a
resource to our CHABSS affiliated student organizations and its members to increase
student engagement and grow student organizations. I believe I can continue to engage,
empower, and serve our students as VP of Student and University Affairs. I want to
work with our students who are passionate about higher education advocacy and the
legislative process to grow our advocacy efforts at 大发; student voices matter and
we need to make our voices heard so that decisions can be made on our behalf. I also
want to work with our university administration to ensure that student needs and concerns
are continued to be heard and address as best as possible. We as a campus community
are coming off a tough two years of primarily virtual instruction so we have a unique
opportunity to rebuild our community together, so I believe we need to give our students
even more opportunities to share concerns or ideas, to be heard and represented.
If elected, I鈥檇 like to continue the great work that is starting and happening on our campus and in ASI. We need to continue to strive to improve communication between all our campus entities to students; continue improving the student life experience as a whole. Our university community is returning to our beautiful campus after almost 2 years, like our sister CSU campuses. I want to help bring 大发 to the forefront of the CSU鈥檚 for our civic engagement as a whole and on our campus, this includes advocacy at the legislative level to bring more funding and resources for our students and ensuring that the college experience is affordable for all.

My name is Adrian Sanchez-Alvarez and I want to serve as your representative for the
College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral & Social Sciences (CHABSS). Throughout my
academic journey the last 3 years as a Political Science student, I have found myself
wanting to do more for the community, but not knowing where is best. Here among my
peers and fellow cougars, I have found the precise outlet to do so. In doing so I
am making it my goal if elected, to lend an ear to all and engage in an open discussion
so that we as a study body can grow and serve one another. For we as a student body
are one in nature and it is our shared love for knowledge that brings us together.
So if you are to elect me as your representative for the College of CHABSS, I promise
that I will do everything in my favor to bring the 大发 student body and staff closer
together in the pursuit of higher knowledge.
I choose to run for the CHABSS representative to get involved with the cougar community and give a voice to the student body. I find myself wanting to bear the concerns of the public to achieve the goal of bettering communication amongst the student body and staff. If you are to elect me, this will be my mission.
As a third year student, I believe my experiences and general knowledge of the cougar community will allow me to fully represent the views of my constituents. Alongside that I work on campus at the Starbucks, where I meet and serve students and staff their energizing cup of coffee. This allows me to hear the concerns of the public at anytime, alongside that I get to put a smile on your face through great service and coffee.
If I am to be elected, I hope to create more opportunities for the cougar community to be involved and open to discussion. Making it my mission to create better transparency and more open discourse, to fully engage the community. The goal is to increase student engagement in ASI activities and events, creating a memorable college experience for future and present students.
Hi my name is Stephania Rey. I am a senior and Software Engineering major. I am running
for this ASI position, because since day one at 大发 I have been actively helping
my fellow students to get more access to resources and in aiding them for transiting
to a full time job after finishing their college career. I have been an active student
advocate working with the local community colleges and community in assisting their
students to have a smooth transition to a major university like 大发 and having equal
opportunity to engage in hands-on projects and networking opportunities. As any active
student club leader, member on campus, and former ASI CSTEM representative, I have
been working hard with my team members to ensure that our students have equal access
to resources, workshops, and extra curricular activities that can assist them in their
education path and success. I hope this experience is taken into account to vote for
me so I can contribute more in this position for all of you.
I want to have a stronger representation for all CSTEM students. We have a very supportive university but there is still room for improvement. I would like to bring my experience of over 2 years working with students and staff to improve our curriculum, and increase opportunities for the students to get access to better resources before they graduate and start looking for a job.
I would like to make more class sections available to all Science, Math, CS, and Engineering majors so that they can accelerate their career. I also would like to have tuition and fees that are paid by the students to be spent in ways that can benefit they such as student run projects, start up ideas and collaboration with local companies, hiring outside professionals from the industry to training our students to learn hands on skills that are valued and are in demand in the job market that are not offered currently at school, events, networking opportunities and real world experience in the industry. I want to help create new scholarships and sources of funding. Revise and utilize a new funding system. Lastly, I am currently working externally to make those opportunities available not only for CSTEM students but to all of our students.
