Memorandums

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is the official voice for over 17,000 students here at 大发. A key component of the mission of ASI is to advocate for services, programs, and protections that meet needs of our campus community. 

While our resolutions are our formal stance on an issue/idea/topics, our ASI President has the ability to create and share ASI memos. We have found through the years that resolutions might take time and sometimes feedback or sentiment might need to happen quicker. So, in an effort to stay transparent and connected with our campus community, we created ASI memos. These are not formal stances, but personal statements from our ASI leadership team at the time.

Memos Process

After there is an incident or the ASI team has some sort of update to share, the ASI team will meet to see if our ASI President would like to send out some sort of communication to the 大发 Campus Community. Memos will typically follow this process and timeline: 

  1. Memo drafted by President on ASI memo template then sent to ASI executive team and advisors for review.
  2. ASI Executive Director send to legal if needed and campus partners as needed. 
  3. Final Memo sent our ASI Media & Communications team for review and prep for website and posting on social media channels.
