Transportation/Commuters
On-Campus Resources
- Commuter Lounge: Located on the first floor, adjacent to the USU entrance from Chavez
Circle, the lounge includes microwaves, vending, a sink, shower, and refrigerated
lockers. Computers and print stations are also available.

bicycle racks with building accessibility, bike lockers, tire air pumps, and bike
locks for loan.
- PRONTO Virtual Transit Passes | Parking Services | ´ó·¢. Students are eligible for a discounted San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS)
student regional transit pass.
- Carpool Program | Parking Services | ´ó·¢. Campus community members can choose to carpool and split the cost of commuting and
parking with a classmate, neighbor, or friend and receive reserved proximity parking.

Off-Campus Resources

- Program : on-demand transit service that provides shared rides within a San Marcos.
Perfect for short local trips! Cost:$2.50 to $5 a trip.
- : pilot program that enables current students in Southern California to ride Metrolink
for free. The Student Adventure Pass will be available until June 30, 2025.
- : There are two (2) Zipcar vehicles parked on the 1st floor of PS1 (Parking Structure
1). Zipcar is a car-sharing company providing automobile reservations to its members,
billable by the hour or day. Employees and students are eligible to join using their
campus email. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license
in good standing. International driver's licenses are accepted. There is a small annual
fee ($20) and reservations can be made hourly, daily, and in advance.
Legal & Undocumented Assistance
General Legal Aid
- provides free civil legal services to disadvantaged families, seniors, persons with
disabilities, persons living with HIV/AIDS, and domestic violence survivors in San
Diego County.

Immigration and/or Undocumented Assistance
- Dreamer Resource Office at ´ó·¢ helps support undocumented students through barriers related to their academic
and professional goals as well as their personal well-being. Their connections include:
- : Offers free consultations, DACA renewal, naturalization, family-based immigration,
and other immigration services.
- UURISE: Unitarian Universalist Refugee & immigrant Services & Education offers consultations,
DACA renewal, naturalization, green card renewal, and FOIA for students and loved
ones.
- UPRISE: Free immigration-related assistance and help in creating family safety plans in case
of deportation or detention.

LGBTQ+ Assistance
- ´ó·¢ Pride Center
- How to change your NAME and PRONOUNS at ´ó·¢:
- ´ó·¢ wants you to be yourself! Whether you have a nickname or a preferred name, or
different pronouns than what is currently in your account, you can change that to
be reflected in Class Rosters, Student ID, My´ó·¢ account, and Cougar Courses.
- For NAME changes, complete this Name Change Form via the Registrar's Office.
- For your STUDENT EMAIL NAME changes, go into the name settings to change that yourself. The Name Change form does not
automatically change this.
- For PRONOUN changes, log into your ´ó·¢ account. Go to "Student Center" then select "Pronouns" in the
drop-down menu under "Personal Information" and click Go. Select your pronoun and
click SAVE.
- For Graduation/Diploma: Please note that the Commencement Office pulls your name from My´ó·¢ for both the
Commencement ceremony and your diploma, so make sure it is accurate. If it is not
correct, you may change it as indicated in the steps above. If your name is not correct
in the link to register for Commencement, please contact commencement@csusm.edu.

- – Under the North County LGBTQ Resource Center, this aims to provide crisis and transitional
housing to LGBTQ youth aged 14-24 who are homeless or at risk for homelessness. Youth that are minors will be hosted within a certified foster care family, youth
18yrs + within homes that are LGBTQ safe). Contact the center at (760) 994-1690 to be placed.

that range from $500 to $1500.

- - The IHSS Program provides funding to elderly or disabled Californians to pay for
services to take place in their personal homes or places of residence (i.e., payment
for family caregivers, adjustments to the home, etc.). State policymakers designed
the program to prevent the unnecessary placement of individuals in Medicaid (Medi-Cal)
funded nursing homes.
- - The Alzheimer Association offers support groups for caregivers and individuals
living with Alzheimer's or other dementia. All support groups are facilitated by trained
