Multicultural Intelligence & Leadership Certificate
In collaboration with the Cross-Cultural Center, the TLC's "Multicultural Intelligence & Leadership Certificate" (MIL) demonstrates our campus' value of diversity. MIL students have graduated from the TLC and are ready to delve more deeply into social justice and diversity through a leadership lens. These conversations can be challenging, hence we have a campus resource for Racial Trauma, Resilency and Ally Reources provided by our Student Health & Counseling Services.
Multicultural Intelligence & Leadership Criteria:
- Enroll in the program by submitting the "Interest" form above by Friday, February 11th
- Complete the Inclusive Leadership Workshop posted on MS Teams Channel
- Identify a social problem or change you'd like to see in our region/campus/community. Draw on your experiences within this criteria to solve that problem. Ground your experience in this social issue that matters to you.
- 3 Peer Leader Check-In Meetings Monthly: Friday 2/18, 3/18, & 4/22.
- Attend at least 1 Civility Cafe (Events are monthly starting February)- RSVP to Civility Cafe
- Attend at least 1 Civility Dialogue (Events are monthly starting February)- RSVP to Civility Dialogue
- Attend at least 4 social identity center or Office of Inclusive Excellence events. Please contact the respective center(s) for any questions.
- Complete a minimum of 10 hours with an off-campus agency that supports or serves underrepresented communities or the UNESCO Certificate M:POWR Mural Project; Volunteer Opportunities; or Civic Action Hub 15 actions = 1 hour
- Refine your resume by adding these experiences
- Capstone project: creative presentation (examples: PPT, Infographic, video). Prompt is here.
- Complete the MIL graduation application.
- Capstone presentation & Panel exit interview.
