When the New Org Recognition period opens, you must submit a New Org Questionnaire to officially declare your intent to become a recognized student organization.
Note: The site might ask you to log in to submit your questionnaire. Our Involve tutorial page will show you how! After you've logged in, come back to this page and click the link to the questionnaire again.
All recognized student organizations must have a Constitution & Bylaws document. To begin creating your document, open the form below and answer the questions according to how you want your organization to operate. A SLIC staff member will then provide a draft of your constitution for you.
Note: If your organization already has a constitution document, please send it via email to studentorg@csusm.edu.
After completing steps 1-5, you will receive a link to complete the Organization Registration Form via email to provide additional details about your organization.
The President, Treasurer, and Advisor of your organization must all complete a Student Organization Officer/Advisor Agreement Form for your organization to be officially recognized. You will not be able to sign these forms until your Organization Registration Form (Step 5) has been approved.
The President and Treasurer are both required to complete Online Student Org Officer Training. Additional members of your organization may complete the training, but it is not required.
Note: Presidents and Treasurers must complete this training every year. Even if you've completed the training in the past for another organization, you must complete it again for 2025-2026.
All new student organizations seeking recognition must send two (2) officers to attend the Student Organization Leadership Conference (SOLC). SOLC is designed to provide introductory leadership development training to prepare you to be an effective leader of your student organization.
