Student Leadership & Involvement Center

Leadership Workshops

Your student organization/department can request on-campus leadership workshops for your general body meetings and executive board meetings! These workshops are great for team building and are FREE for your organizations or campus departments. Your workshop will be presented by a professional and/or student staff member of the Student Leadership and Involvement Center.

Workshops are best suited for smaller groups (less than 40) where in-depth conversations and reflection can take place. If your organization is large, we ask that you consider breaking down the workshops into different dates for different groups鈥攆or example, new members, executive officers, and event planning officers.

    Think you know what a leader is? Think again. Come learn about how anyone can be a leader.
  • True Colors- Understanding You:
    Discover the qualities and characteristics of your own personality through color. 
  • True Colors- Understanding Others
    Learn more about how your color interacts with other colors around communication, conflict, and work style! (Recommended as a part 2 to True Colors- Understanding You) 
  • Conflict Management
    Ever feel like navigating conflict is like going through a jungle? Join our workshop and discover your unique conflict animal style.
  • Appreciation Languages
    Ready to transform your professional relationships? Start with learning about your appreciation language. (1 hour 30-minute version offered)
  • Managing Stress
    Stress less and lead more as you learn and practice tips to manage stress! 
  • Emotional Intelligence
    Wanna discover your secret superpower? Learn how emotional intelligence can boost personal success.

Requesting a Workshop

You must request a workshop a minimum of 10 days in advance of the desired date. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but we ask for flexibility to find a time that works with the requesters and the presenters. Following your submission, you will be contacted by the Student Leadership and Involvement Center. Please allow 3-5 business days for an email to confirm your workshop request.
