About the Program
The Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (TBSN) program is designed for students seeking their first bachelor鈥檚 degree and do not already have a license as a vocational or registered nurse (sometimes referred to as a 鈥減re-licensure鈥 program). Students may apply as either a First-Time Freshman or Transfer. Completion of the TBSN makes graduates eligible to seek licensure as a Registered Nurse in California and certification as a public health nurse.

Program Length
- First-Time Freshman = 4 years (8 Fall/Spring and 2 Summer semesters)
- Transfer Students = 3 years (6 Fall/Spring and 2 Summer semesters)

Program Starts: Fall only
Program Structure
- Cohort-based (courses only offered once per academic year)
- Full-time
- Courses mostly during the day
- Clinical placement location, days, and times vary each academic term and may take place on weekends
- Clinical placements randomly assigned to San Diego and Riverside Counties
Costs
- Fall/Spring semesters = Cost of Attendance/Tuition and Fees
- Summer semesters = Extended Learning Tuition per unit rate
