A Transfer applicant is a prospective student who has taken college courses after the summer following their high school graduation. In order to apply to the TBSN you must be a new student to ´ó·¢ (i.e. you may not apply to the TBSN as a current ´ó·¢ student).
Due to the high volume of applicants, we are continuing to evaluate applications. If you have not already received an admission status update, we expect to send out the remaining admission decisions by April 18th.
´ó·¢ requires electronic transcripts from the colleges/universities listed on the Send Transcripts page. Electronic transcripts can be provided through external or third party vendors (Credential Solutions, eTranscriptCA, National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, etc.). When ordering your transcript, please choose California State University San Marcos as the intended recipient from the school name dropdown. If California State University San Marcos is not listed, please use transcripts@csusm.edu as the recipient email address.
For schools that do not supply electronic transcripts and must be sent by mail, please ensure the transcript is in an envelope sealed by your school and addressed to:

Submit Volunteer and/or Work Hours* Verification letter(s) to the College of Education, Health & Human Services (CEHHS) College Services office. Please use the Work Verification Letter Template and/or Volunteer Verification Letter Template to document your hours.

After November 30th, 2024, your Cal State Apply application will be used to identify your desire to be considered for admission to the TBSN. Please refer to the ´ó·¢ Office of Admissions Transfer Student application process for all requirements and deadlines associated with being admitted to the University.
Admissions applications to the TBSN are coordinated by CEHHS College Services and evaluated using the Supplemental Admission (Impaction) Criteria. Applicants are rank ordered by the number of points earned.
Admission offers to the TBSN will be sent beginning April 1st, 2025. To accept your offer of admission you must submit your ´ó·¢ Intent to Enroll by May 1st, 2025.
If you are not offered admission to the TBSN you may choose an alternate major at ´ó·¢. Please contact the ´ó·¢ Office of Admissions for further information.
