Configurable Search

Configurable search enables a user to maintain the same search experience across the PeopleSoft system. The search pages for PeopleSoft application components provide these options:

  • Find an Existing Value (Standard search)
  • Add a New Value
  • Review and reprocess Recent/Saved Searches

Example of results after search is initiated:

Utilizing Recent Searches

Recent Searches allows a user to access recent searches completed by the user within the specific Page navigation. When a user performs a search at runtime, the system will automatically save the search criteria and make this search available like a saved search that the user creates manually. Users in the system have their own lists of saved searches and recent searches.

Users can edit the recent searches list or delete their recent searches history by selecting the pencil icon next to the dropdown.

Utilizing Saved Searches

Saved Searches allows a user to save searches completed within the specific Page navigation for future or frequent access by clicking the SAVE SEARCH button. Users will then be directed to name their saved search. This will then appear in the Saved Searches dropdown.

Note: you must perform a search first in order to see the Save Search button.
