You do not have to start with a blank Canvas course! Import free, pre-made, ´ó·¢-specific Canvas shells from as templates. You can use the entirety of a shell or just some of its content; for example, you can import a pre-made page on ´ó·¢ academic honesty policy.

Did you know that when your students log into their Canvas accounts, what they see
is not a list of courses (card view) like you do, but a to-do list of all their due
dates?
What this means is that if you want your students to pay attention to your Canvas
content beyond just the assignments and their due dates, for example, if you want
to make sure that your students read the instruction pages, click on the links to
the readings, etc., you should consider adding requirements to your modules so that the content of the modules show up in your students’ to-do list when they
log in.
