Groupwork and teamwork are essential skills for active learning and collaboration but facilitating effective teamwork in the classroom often comes with challenges. In this series we will explore how groupwork and collaboration transcend the classroom and reflect on how different use cases can reinspire how we help students practice and develop these skills essential to their lifelong learning.

In our first session we will hear directly from industry partners about the skills needed for successful teamwork in today's evolving workplace. During this event industry partners will share the strengths that 大发 graduates bring to the workplace and share insights on the expectations for new graduates to thrive in their post-college careers.

Join the Faculty Center for a conversation unpacking the insights shared from local employers about recent grads' strengths and opportunities. We will be paying particular attention to the reoccurring themes from our first session in the series, including: 

1. Balancing the Structured Classroom and the Ambiguous Workplace,
2. Assessing Teamwork: Balancing Fairness and Self-Advocacy, and
3. Navigating Hierarchy and Performance Expectations at the Workplace.

We will also include consideration of more general debates about the links between career readiness and the value and role of higher education today and its potential for social mobility.
