Restore deleted items using the Recycle Bin

Why Do This

The Recycle Bin allows you to restore resources (files, links, pages, etc.) and activities (Assignment, Quiz, Forum, etc.) you have deleted from your course homepage within the last fourteen days. If the activity contained student submissions those will be restored as well. Unfortunately at this time the Recycle Bin can only restore items that were completely deleted in their entirety from the course homepage. Student submissions to an activity or individual parts of a resource/activity (like the description of an Assignment) that are deleted cannot be restored.

Restore an item from the Recycle Bin

1. From your course homepage click the gear icon in the upper right to open the Course Administration. Then click on Recycle Bin.
   
   
2. You will see a list of resources and activities deleted from the course homepage within the last fourteen days (items are permanently deleted after that). Note: it takes about an hour for a deleted item to appear in the Recycle Bin. To restore something to your course homepage, click the restore icon for that item. The item will then be restored to the module/week where it was located when it was deleted.
