Room Characteristics Audit

This audit requires the user to run and download the 鈥淎udit: Room Characteristics鈥 query from PeopleSoft - SMO_SEA_CLASSSCHED_RCS. This query checks to make sure each section has at lest ONE room characteristic (RC) and it can also be used to self-check that the RCs are the correct values for the class/instructor. These RCs are especially important when the class needs to go through the Optimizer algorithm to get assigned to a room (i.e. a classroom is not pre-assigned during schedule build) because a room will not be assigned when an RC is not attached.

The 鈥淐heck ERRORs" column will show either:

  • <No Value/BLANK> = Class is good to go, assuming it is the correct Room Characteristic.
  • ERROR - Add at least 1 RC = Add at least room characteristic to the class. The most common Room Characteristic value is 鈥淟ectureRm,鈥 which includes all lecture rooms.
