We provide technology services that bring together students and their university, support faculty scholarship, and facilitate administrative services.

Goal #5 – Embrace Emerging Technologies to Build Community and Strengthen Collaboration

5.1   ´ó·¢ transcends organizational boundaries, using common platforms and systems that promote campus-wide collaboration.  

5.2   ´ó·¢ expands access to instruction, expanding the use of affordable instructional materials that align with the needs of students who are always connected and always online. 

5.3   ´ó·¢ connects people, enhancing community by facilitating meaningful communication.

Goal #6 – Facilitate Connections That Promote Discovery and Knowledge

6.1   ´ó·¢ strengthens research and scholarship, supporting evolving fields of interest, changing methodologies, and collaboration.

6.2   ´ó·¢ cultivates the exchange of ideas, facilitating dialogue and collaboration through diverse channels of communication.  

6.3   ´ó·¢ unites a digital campus, delivering timely, convenient, and personalized communications that connect the community to relevant information and resources.

Strategic Projects

The following list shows the current projects for goals 5 and 6.  See all projects int the

  •  â€“ System to track all points of engagement within the university from K-12/Alliance and prospective students, through campus connections, and alumni engagement.  
  • – ´ó·¢ will use electronic signature tools and strategies to rethink administrative procedures that are native to a digital workforce.
  • – Continued development of a full featured App that would allow students to perform most common university tasks from their smart phone.
  • - Campus ID and retail system with integration to campus food services. 
  • – Deploy targeted and personalized communications systems including personalized web experiences.  
  •  - Ally guides instructors on how to edit files into more accessible formats.
  • - series of workshops called Tech Bites and learning Cougar Courses.
  • - Increase IITS communications using the IITS website, the Portfolio Manager application, technology spotlights and IT Service Catalog.  
  •  - The McMahon House alterations include adding smart technology throughout the facility. 
  • Completed Projects
    • - complete the ATI Annual Report and associated analysis.
    •  - Adobe Creative Cloud is available for Staff & Faculty, and will now be available for students.
    •  - Create the IITS Communications Strategy.
    •  - Create and start to implement the ´ó·¢ IT Strategic Plan.
    • - The Library Video Wall will provide information, influence participation and inspire students as they enter the Technology Learning Center.
    • IITS and Office of Communications are working together to redesign the campus mobile app to better meet the needs of current students for the Fall 2018 term.
    • - GreyHeller PeopleMobile implementation for student self-service.
