Faculty Regalia

All faculty participating in commencement will be responsible for providing their own regalia to wear during the commencement ceremonies. Faculty must wear ceremonial regalia during the commencement ceremonies. Faculty will NOT be permitted to participate in the processional or sit in the faculty seating area without wearing appropriate decorum. For questions regarding department expenses, you may contact and/or work with your department support personnel.

Purchasing Regalia

Purchasing regalia is a personal expense and will not be reimbursed by the university. Additionally, departments may not purchase regalia as a supply for their department.

Purchase Regalia by April 1

Orders must be placed with Jostens by April 1. Regalia takes approximately five weeks to arrive. Purchasing regalia is a personal expense and will not be reimbursed by the university, nor may departments purchase regalia as a departmental supply.

Renting Regalia

Rent your Regalia by 3 p.m. on April 11

Rentals are available through the �� University Store. Faculty must visit the bookstore in person by April 11 or email csusm@bkstr.com to arrange a rental.

Doctor Rental Package

$75 + tax
Hood, black velvet tam 6-sided with gold bullion and black gown with black velvet trim.

Master Rental Package

$55 + tax
Hood, black hard cap, black gown and black regular plain banded tassel (no year date).
