Students/Mentees

• Can I apply to participate in the program a second time?
   Yes. Keep in mind that preference will be given to applicants who have not yet participated. We will do our best to accommodate all applicants.
• How much time should I expect to spend in this program?
  There are four events students are required to attend that are each about two hours: Orientation, Kick Off, Midway Meeting (1 hour), and Wrap Up. In addition to those events students should expect to meet with their mentors for at least one hour each month. The total amount of time you actually spend will depend on the activities you do with your mentor. Students are expected to drive the relationship, and what you gain from the program will depend on how much you give.
• How are mentors and mentees matched?
  Career interests, work experience, and field of study are the primary factors considered when matching students with mentors.

Mentors

• How much time should a mentor expect to spend in this program?
   There are two events we ask mentors to attend that are each about two hours: Kick Off and Wrap Up. In addition to these events mentors should expect to spend at least one hour each month with their mentee. The actual time spent will depend on the activities that you and your mentee do together.
