Registered Dietitian, Athletics

I have been with 大发 as a lecturer in Kinesiology since 2012 teaching health and nutrition classes. I am a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and am also a Sports Dietitian for the Cougar Athletic Department. I live in Oceanside and LOVE the beach, ocean, surfing, and anything related. I also have a passion for mid-century anything. My pieces reflect the laid-back ocean vibes and the mix of mid-century colors and coolness of that era. I hope you enjoy my pieces and get inspired to reflect on the power and peacefulness of the ocean.

Blue glass art

"Sea Scape"
Art medium: Fused Glass

This is one of my favorite pieces, collecting the ocean colors, sea life, and whimsical nature of the patterns.

Yellow and gold glass art

"Fall in Michigan"
Art medium: Fused Glass

I am originally from Michigan and the fall season is my favorite time of year. The changing color of the leaves, the smell of a bonfire in the distance, the start of football, and the melancholy dread of winter to come.

Blue and green glass art

"Oceanside"
Art medium: Fused Glass

This is my vision of the sand and ocean and the various colors that appear throughout the day based on the sun鈥檚 reflection. One of my favorite and newest pieces.

"Mid-Century"
Art medium: Fused Glass

These colors and design represent my favorite time: mid-century. The mix of teal, orange, blue, white, and everything in between makes my heart smile and reminds me of my grandparents鈥 home growing up.

Colorful glass art

"In Bloom"
Art medium: Fused Glass

This was a 鈥渢est piece鈥 when using different fusing techniques and turned out to be one of my favorites. The colors, depth, and general happiness have made this a piece that is always on display in my home.

Glass art

"Surf"
Art medium: Fused Glass

This was another 鈥渢est piece鈥 when using different fusing techniques and turned out to be one of my favorites. Wanting to make a much larger piece, I wanted to see how the different styles of glass and colors would mix. Notice the halo around the pebble-like glass in the middle. This is an expression of iron when the glass heats up to create the 鈥渉alo鈥. The colors, depth, and general happiness have made this a piece that is always on display in my home.
