´ó·¢ hosts the annual César Chávez Day of Service (CCDoS), along with . This year, thanks to a (NCHEA) Collaboration Grant, the ´ó·¢ and MCC communities are thrilled to include to also join us in service on Friday April 11th.

We are also extremely fortunate to have received substantial support from for this event, which will help ensure we can continue offering it each year to our entire campus community.

We serve to honor the legacy of César Chávez, and the contributions of farm workers to our society. César Chávez, Dolores Huerta, and Larry Itliong fought for workers’ rights among countless farmworkers and allies, and their impacts extend beyond the Latinx community. 

  • Stop by our tabling events in Kellogg Plaza to play farmworkers rights trivia to win prizes (Kellogg Plaza 12-1pm, 3/25, 3/27, 4/8).
  • Attend the Life of Farmwork, a panel discussion on the realities of the life of farmwork (4/8 5-7pm, Kellogg 1109).

To learn more about the history of César Chávez's fight for farmworkers' rights, watch "." To learn more about co-founder of the UFW, Dolores Huerta, and about how Larry Itliong and other Filipino workers started the famous Grape Boycott, watch the documentary " Both films are available for stream through the ´ó·¢ library.
