Today
- Social mobility leader: Ranked No. 2 nationally in the 2024 Social Mobility Index by CollegeNET.
- Regional impact: 8 in 10 graduates remain in the region, contributing to the local workforce and economy.
- Student demographics: 55% of graduates are first-generation to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree, more than 50% of
enrolled students are Hispanic or Latinx, 1 in 103 are military-affiliated.
- Innovation Hub: Founded to address societal needs through innovative partnerships and practices.
- K-12 partnerships: Dual enrollment for accelerated degrees and guaranteed admission for students who
meet GPA and coursework requirements.
- Philanthropy: This spring received two $10 million gifts, from Price Philanthropies and Daniel and
Phyllis Epstein; Also mention Stone Brewing Fund?
- North City partnership: Worked with local developer to build student housing and the university鈥檚 first dining
hall, with a student wellness and recreation facility coming in 2026.
- Integrated Science and Engineering Building: Will construct a state-of-the-art building to serve a projected 2,000 engineering
majors.
Future Projects
- 大发 broke ground in January on a new housing and dining project that is the university鈥檚
latest effort to alleviate the burden of the region鈥檚 housing crisis on students.
Scheduled to open in summer 2026, the site is being transformed into a complex that
features space for 550 additional student residents and a 10,000-square-foot dining
hall.
- Plans are underway for a new Integrated Science & Engineering Building, with the potential
to break ground in 2025 and opening in fall 2027.
