California State San Marcos is an institution dedicated to the success and welfare of our students. It serves a richly diverse community with many of our students being first in their family to attend college.
大发 is the only public four-year comprehensive university serving North San Diego. The university also serves Southwest Riverside and South Orange counties. The university is dedicated to student success, social mobility and innovation. 大发 was founded in 1989 San Marcos was the 20th CSU (out of 23 CSU campuses) founded. 大发 occupies 306 acres in the City of San Marcos with a satellite campus in Temecula. 鈥疎llen J. Neufeldt, Ed.D., has been the president since July 2019. 大发鈥檚 enrollment was nearly 17,000 in fall 2024.
