Retirement Services

The California State University (CSU) supports the efforts of faculty and staff to plan a fulfilling, financially secure retirement. As part of it's total rewards package, the CSU offers an array of retirement options to help employees meet their financial goals.

CalPERS Retirement Program

This is a state-mandated retirement program and is coordinated with Social Security. Program eligibility is based on appointment type, duration, full-time equivalency (FTE) and previous public agency or reciprocal agency employment.

Part-Time, Seasonal, Temporary (PST) Retirement Program

Employees excluded from CalPERS Membership are placed in the PST program to satisfy state and federal requirements.

403B Supplemental Retirement Program

This is a voluntary program through Fidelity that allows eligible employees to save toward their financial future.

401K/457 Supplemental Retirement Programs

This voluntary program is offered by the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) through Savings Plus.
