MANAGEMENT
An academic recovery course for students continuing on academic notice.
The purpose of this course is to have you apply your learning from previous UNIV courses, mentoring, and advising support to your goal of earning a college degree. Using the required course text, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey as our course structure, you will engage in application and reflection, including activities which focuses on goal setting, connections to campus, and time management.
This is a self-paced course, with benchmarks, designed to help you apply what you have learned about yourself, improve the 7 habits of mind in order to achieve confidence and success in school, personally, and professionally. It also includes an advising component to help you stay on track for future semesters.
"This has been one of my best semesters since I have been at 大发. I had the best teachers and the most success. I am grateful for this class, even if what landed me here wasn't the best circumstances. Meeting with my instructor gave me a lot of clarity on what the rest of my academic journey looks like and introduced me to changing my major to psychology, which would give me a better range of career options based on what path I want to take. "
"This semester I very much enjoyed the class and felt the support from the instructor. I can generally tell there was a care to watch us succeed and that is appreciated greatly."
"This semester has been a great eye opener for me. I was able to know great people and make great connections, I enjoyed attending class and staying at school rather than just seeing school as transactional."
