
MANAGEMENT
All CHAD majors are required to complete CHAD 496: Observation and Assessment Lab at the Center for Children and Families (CCF on campus). CHAD majors must complete the backgound check and immunization requirements no more than one year and no later than 3 weeks from the start of the semester in which they take the CHAD 496 course.
ALL DOCUMENTATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE STUDENT TO THE CCF. THE PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT MAY NOT/WILL NOT TAKE THE DOCUMENTATION AS PER CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE GUIDELINES.
Students must complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test. TB tests can be obtained at Student Health (ask for an appointment for a TB Risk Assessment and tell them you need the test for the CCF's licensing requirements as mandated in California Code of Regulations Title 8 and Title 22), your own personal physician’s office, or a . Students are responsible for the fees.
Due to HIPPA guidelines, students must deliver the results of their TB screen directly to the Center for Children and Families (CCF).
Students must be able to provide documentation that they do not have active TB by one of three ways:
Students will submit a copy of their TB test results directly to the CCF. Additionally, students may need to update this requirement annually (1-step skin test or TB Symptom Questionnaire**) while in the program and interacting with minors, as determined by the agency with which they work.
**Repeat chest x-ray will be determined by your provider based upon current CDC guidelines.
