Academic Recovery

Academic recovery is the process in which college students who are on academic notice and at risk of dismissal (disqualification) from 大发 are offered support and resources to guide them towards good academic standing. The support offered to the majority of students happens in and outside of the classroom. For most students, this means once you are placed on academic notice, students are enrolled into a 1-unit academic recovery course.

Academic Support

Academic notice is a status assigned to students whose academic performance falls below the university's required standards. Typically, a student is placed on academic notice if their semester or cumulative GPA drops below 2.0. This status serves as a warning and an opportunity for students to improve their academic standing.

While on academic notice, students are typically enrolled into an academic recovery course tailored to students at different points in their academic careers. In addition to this 1-unit course, ALL students have access to various support resources, such as academic advising, tutoring, student health and counseling to support them where they are.
