College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) - The College Assistance Migrant Program is a unique educational program at California State University, San Marcos. CAMP helps students from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds to succeed in college. CAMP is a national program that was established over thirty years ago, and has helped thousands of students accomplish their educational goals. CAMP offers students pre-college transition and first-year support services to help develop the skills needed to stay in school and successfully graduate from college.

�� National Latino Research Center - The mission of the National Latino Research Center (NLRC) at California State UniversitySan Marcos is to promote scientific and applied research, training, and exchange of information that contribute to the knowledge and understanding of the rapidly growing U. S. Latino population.

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) - EOP serves students with a history of economic and educational disadvantage by providing support services that lead to a university degree.

Multicultural Programs - Multicultural Programs strives to establish initiatives and support programs that affirm the diversity of the campus community in its many forms by embracing a broad definition of culture.

Personalized Academic Success Services (PASS) - PASS works with students by holistically assessing each individual situation to provide appropriate support and resources (on-campus and in the community) to help students achieve academic and personal success. Services include: Academic goal development, academic and personal development workshops (i.e. time management, test-taking, note-taking, etc.), support for students on Academic Notice/disqualification, student support and transitional counseling, and resource referral services.

Student Affairs- The mission of the Student Affairs Division is to promote access to higher education, foster lifelong learning, and prepare students to be active and positive contributors in a diverse global community.

Student Outreach And Referral Services (SOAR) - Student Outreach And Referral (SOAR) is a centralized service for all members of the university community seeking to assist students in finding answers to questions, resolving concerns, or identifying opportunities to maximize their success at ��. SOAR provides individual attention to students and facilitates personalized referral to university resources.

SOAR also reaches out to students who are among the first generation in their families to attend college in order to create a sense of membership in the university community and build awareness of campus resources to support their students’ success. SOAR also seeks to connect with families of first generation students so they are aware of campus resources to support their student’s success and to promote a sense of belonging within the university community.

Student Organization - Standing Together As oNE Dream (S.T.A.N.D.) - Students that form a part of S.T.A.N.D. are provided with support, backing, encouragement and networking opportunities. Our aim is to empower and inspire all immigrant youth to succeed in their academic career and use that platform to mobilize their respective communities. S.T.A.N.D. enhances the educational experience of its members by offering such opportunities as: mentoring, scholarships, guest speakers, workshops, lecturers and other resources. Our efforts on campus include working towards social justice and to raise awareness about the many challenges that immigrant youth and their families face. We achieve this by actively participating in civic and political engagement.

Community Resources

- A great national program that has great updates about financial opportunities for undocumented students.

- Founded in 2006, Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC) empowers undocumented young people to pursue their dreams of college, career, and citizenship in the United States. We address the holistic needs of undocumented young people through direct support, leadership development, community outreach, and advocacy. Our programming is designed by and for undocumented young people with support from committed allies. We are a fiscally-sponsored project of Community Initiatives.

- MALDEF strives to implement programs that are structured to bring Latinos into the mainstream of American political and socio-economic life; providing better educational opportunities; encouraging participation in all aspects of society; and offering a positive vision for the future. Unique to MALDEF is an approach that combines advocacy, educational outreach, and litigation strategies to achieve socio-economic change.

MALDEF has achieved significant legal victories with the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case, Plyler v. Doe. The Court struck down a Texas law that allowed districts to charge tuition to children of undocumented immigrant parents. MALDEF’s victory opened school doors to all students equally. In 2006, the U.S. Supreme Court heard seven challenges to a Texas Congressional redistricting plan. Only MALDEF’s prevailed. The New York Times described it as “the most important voting rights case of the decade, rejecting the statewide gerrymandering claim brought by…other plaintiffs while accepting the Voting Rights Act challenge in Southwestern Texas, brought by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.” The case resulted in new lines drawn for the 23rd Congressional District and a special election (where a MALDEF suit opened the polls early) resulting in the Latino community having the opportunity to elect its candidate of choice to Congress.

MALDEF is headed by a President and General Counsel and is governed by a 30-member national Board of Directors. Headquartered in Los Angeles, MALDEF operates four regional offices in Los Angeles, San Antonio, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.LDEF – Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

- The San Diego Dream Team strives for a society in which all immigrant contributions are valued, and where immigrants are treated fairly, equally, and with dignity, therefore individuals and families live without fear within their communities.

-The Legal Clinics at University of San Diego School of Law provide training to upper-level law students while providing needed legal services to the community. All Legal Clinic students are supervised by a practicing attorney. We will make appointments for individuals to meet for an intake with a law student, on a space available basis.
