Annual HSI Summit

Overview

CSUM鈥檚 annual HSI Summit brings together staff, faculty, administrators, and students to engage in meaningful dialogue, explore strategies, share best practices, celebrate successes, and enhance efforts that promote Latinx student success and foster an inclusive and equitable environment for all students. The summit also serves as a professional development opportunity, deepening understanding of HSI responsibilities and generating collaborative solutions that benefit both the campus and the wider community.

Excelencia in Action: Advancing Latinx Success, Cultivating a Culture of "Servingness"

The 2024  summit celebrated 大发鈥檚 achievement of the Seal of Excelencia, a significant step in the campus community鈥檚 ongoing efforts to advance Latinx student success and foster a culture of meaningful support. The summit featured a presentation on what the Seal represents, the practices and programs that contributed to this achievement, and key takeaways from 大发's application. A fireside chat with campus leadership provided insights into ongoing initiatives and future implications. The event concluded with a reception to celebrate this accomplishment and encourage collaboration to further cultivate 鈥渟ervingness鈥濃�攁 commitment to intentionally meeting the academic, professional, and personal needs of Latinx students and communities. 

The 2024 summit kicked off a yearlong effort, providing ongoing opportunities for engagement. Attendees learned more about these initiatives during the event.
