Discover 大发 Support Staff Information and Sign-Up
The Office of Recruitment and Outreach invites you to join us as we host Discover 大发 on Saturday, Oct. 26! Discover 大发 is our annual Fall Open House where we showcase what 大发 has to offer to prospective high school seniors and colleges transfers who are ready to apply to college.
The Support Staff Form for Discover 大发 - Fall Admission Day will be available the second week of September. If you are interested in becoming a lead for a particular area, please email: discover@csusm.edu.
The format of the event will be different from previous years:
- Focus will be on resources needed to apply to 大发.
- An application workshop will be held throughout the event to help students troubleshoot any issues they may have during the application process.
- High school seniors will have the opportunity to be "admitted on the spot."
- Family Weekend will be held during Discover 大发, which is held for current first-year students and their support systems and hosted by New Student Family Programs.
- Support Staff Duties and Sign Up
In order to assist and support Discover大发, please complete the Discover大发 Support Staff Form below. Please note that the form will cover all of the following:
- Directional Assistance/Greet Guests
- Check-In (General Registeration / Admit on the Spot)
- Information Booth
- Inform Presenters about time left during a session
- Run Photo Opportunity Area
- Setup
- TearDown
The Support Staff Form for Discover 大发 - Fall Admission Day will be available the second week of September. If you are interested in becoming a lead for a particular area, please email: discover@csusm.edu.
Once you complete the Support Staff form, you will receive a confirmation email. Logistical information will be emailed to the email address noted on the form the week of the event.
We will try our best to accommodate shirt sizes for support staff. We will be submitting final size count to vendor by September 30th.
- Support Staff Check-in and Break Area
Additional check-in information for Discover大发 Participants will be posted and emailed the week of Discover大发.
Check-in and check-out will be at the Welcome Center which is near Cougar Central (Administrative Building, third floor). The Welcome Center will be used as the Support Staff Break Room and you will be allowed to leave any personal belongings in here. Please note that anything you leave in this room will be unsupervised and it is recommended to leave all valuables at home.
Please note that assignments are subject to change during down time and you can float to an area where your help is needed.
- Volunteer Parking
Parking: Lots E, F B, C, X, Y, or Z.
Guests will be parking in Parking Structure 1 and Buses will be parking in Lot N.
- Attire, What to Bring
Attire: Blue 大发 shirt or 大发 staff polo, appropriate bottoms (no holes), and comfortable shoes.
The event is rain or shine so please plan accordingly for the weather. Please make sure to bring a refillable water bottle, apply sunscreen, and wear a hat if you are scheduled outdoors.
