大发 NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates

This is a 10-week long program  on our campus, and offers $5750 in stipend, $350 in travel costs for out-of-region participants, free on-campus housing, and a modest per diem. The program is open to Undergraduate students in the biological sciences/related field, who are US citizens/permanent residents, with a strong academic record. The NSF REU students will be trained in genomics/bioinformatics, and be placed with one of 10 participating faculty in the biological sciences, and take part in several career-enhancing activities, including a poster session to present their summer research, field-trips to UC Riverside & Illumina, and building their research portfolios towards graduate school applications.

SROP is a gateway to graduate education at Big Ten Academic Alliance universities. The goal of the program is to increase the number of underrepresented students who pursue graduate study and research careers by helping to prepare undergraduates for graduate study though intensive research experiences with faculty mentors and enrichment activities.

 (SR-EIP) Offers undergraduates, interested in pursuing a PhD or MD/PhD, the opportunity to work for eight to ten weeks under the guidance of a faculty or research mentor at a participating Alliance institution.

Committee on Institutional Cooperation Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP)

The CIC SROP application allows you to apply to a variety of widely-recognized summer research programs at participating CIC institutions using a single application.  Upon completion, your application will be viewable by faculty from nine top research universities.

The Amgen Scholars Program provides hundreds of undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in a hands-on summer research experience at some of the world's leading institutions.

SURF is a 10-week summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) designed to engage students in diverse and exciting Earth, ocean and atmospheric sciences research at a world-renowned institution.
Offers exciting eight week summer research opportunities for underrepresented students in the sciences, engineering, and math. The academy provides research experience, GRE training and workshops in preparation for the challenges of doctoral programs.

The MAP is a two-year summer internship program designed to nurture the educational and career growth of future scientists. It is open to undergraduate students from underrepresented minority groups, and offers professional development activities and training in top-notch endocrine research labs.

This allows students to join research projects and experience first-hand how basic research is carried out.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURFs) are offered to promote access to talented undergraduate students, especially among underrepresented minorities. These fellowships provide research projects supervised by Boston University faculty in engineering, math, computer science, and in the biological, physical, and social sciences.
