Subject Matter Competence Requirement
There are multiple ways for applicants to a Credential Program to meet Subject Matter
Competence for the Multiple Subject Program:
- Complete a degree from a regionally-accredited college or university in one of the
following majors:

- Liberal Studies (this is the major available at 大发)
- Modifiers are permitted for Liberal Studies majors, for example: Liberal Studies:
Urban Education would still satisfy Subject Matter Competency for the Multiple Subject
and Special Education Concurrent programs.
- Liberal Arts
- Elementary Education
- Pass subtests I, II and III of the .
- Successful completion of coursework at one or more regionally accredited institutions
of higher education that addresses each of the domains of the subject matter requirements
adopted by the Commission in the content area of the credential pursuant to Section
44282, as verified by a Commission-approved program of professional preparation. To request a coursework evaluation please complete the following steps:
