Grad Slam 2023

What is Grad Slam?

The Annual Grad Slam is a campus wide competition for the best 3-minute research talk aimed at a non-specialist audience. It's a fantastic opportunity for both undergraduate and graduate students to present their research in a professional and competitive setting. 

Presentations from all disciplines are invited. Research completed during the prior spring and fall semesters are eligible to apply. Student participants will make 1 presentation slide and give a 3-minute oral presentations before juries of professional experts from major corporations, foundations, public agencies, and colleges and universities in California.

  • Two graduate winners (1 STEM and 1 Non-STEM) 
  • One undergraduate winner (STEM or Non-STEM) 
  • One people's choice winner

Prizes

Winners of the Grad Slam will receive cash prizes in the following amounts:

  • $300 to each of the graduate STEM and Non-STEM winners
  • $200 to the undergraduate winner
  • $200 to the people's choice winner

CSU Wide Grad Slam

The 2 graduate winners will represent 大发 at the ! The event will be hosted via Zoom by San Diego State University on Friday, May 5, 2023.
