1. GEW faculty choose to include one of the following outcomes into their courses:
1a. Analyze the ways written and/or audio-visual texts represent and reproduce culture.
1b. Critically reflect on how academic and non-academic writing conventions are
the products of the culture creating them.
All sections of GEW additionally include the following outcomes:
2. Employ argument structure, style, and formatting conventions that are appropriate for a writing project鈥檚 audience, purpose, and genre.
3. Critically reflect on the writing process during multi-draft projects that require substantial revision in response to peer and instructor feedback.
4. Practice critical reading and academic, research-based writing, including ethical source integration.
This course satisfies the General Education requirement for Written Communication (area A2).
