MANAGEMENT
This evacuation drill is required by the California Fire Code, California Code of Regulations, and the CSU Emergency Management policy.
Details: The drill will commence with messages sent through the emergency notification system; modalites used may include texts, desktop alerts, digital signage, outdoor speakers, and PA systems. This drill is based on an earthquake scenario so fire alarms will NOT activate. An "All Clear" message will sent out at the conclusion of the drill.
In an effort to ensure the readiness of all members of the CSU campus community for emergency incidents, the CSU is introducing a new training requirement for all employees.
Beginning in March, all CSU employees will be required to complete the online Emergency Procedures course through CSU Learn. New employees will be assigned this course upon hire. The training takes about 45 minutes to complete and must be completed once every three years. As with all systemwide mandatory training, employees will receive an email with a link to CSU Learn when they are assigned the training.
This new training will equip and empower all CSU employees throughout the system to take the appropriate actions during emergencies and meets requirements in the and the CSU systemwide .
Any questions regarding the content of the training may directed to the Office of Emergency Management at em@csusm.edu.
