
Student Life Centers Hiring Process
Thank you for your interest in applying for a job with one of the 大发 Student Life
Centers for Identity, Inclusion, & Empowerment. The Student Life Centers are committed
to celebrating, educating and creating spaces for students to find a sense of belonging
through developing self-awareness, exploring intersections of identity, and engaging
in educational, social, and community programming. As a collective, the Student Life
Centers collaborate for maximum impact within 大发 through educational outreach and
programming, community events, and employee recruitment and training. Each Student
Life Center provides a unique approach to this collective commitment.
You will find job descriptions, information about each center, and a link to the application.
You may apply for multiple positions and candidates receiving an interview will be
contacted. Please review job descriptions before applying to learn about job duties
and application requirements. Applications for the 2024 - 2025 Academic Year have closed. Selected applicants will receive an invitation to participate in a Group Interview
conducted by several staff representatives from the different Student Life Centers.
After Group Interviews, selected applicants will be invited for an Individual Interview.

The mission of The Black Student Center is to promote the academic, cultural, social,
and political consciousness of students of color by actively engaging in institutional
partnerships that will result in the overall increase of student recruitment, active
member participation, retention, and graduation rates.

Cross-Cultural Center
As the first of the Student Life Centers established at 大发 in 2003, the Cross-Cultural
Center encourages identity exploration and expression by challenging students to think
critically about social justice issues and appreciate differences. Our programs promote
the development of cultural intelligence, examine various forms of activism, and train
students for campus leadership, community engagement, and social change. We create
a space for marginalized communities to belong and support efforts for them to achieve
their fullest potential for academic success.

Women and Gender Equity Center
The Women and Gender Equity Center is guided by principles of intersectional feminism
with a focus on topics and issues broadly related to the experiences of women, trans
and gender non-conforming (TGNC) students, parenting students, and the impacts of
sexism and misogyny. We build communities by upholding a brave space; fostering dialogue
about gender equity and social justice; and providing resources for students to achieve
their goals. We strive to make everyone feel supported, included, and represented.

The Pride Center (PC) is an inclusive space which promotes positive interactions in
a diverse environment. The PC strives to provide a space that celebrates and affirms
students who identify with all genders and sexualities in the LGBTQ community and
their allies.

The Asian & Pacific Islander & Desi American (APIDA) Student Life Center affirms the cultural and linguistic diversity of APIDA students

offering a space for all to be seen, celebrated, understood, and valued.

Latinx Center
The Latinx Center (LXC) is grounded on community building standards deriving from
鈥淔amilismo鈥 principals and operates from a Latinx Critical Theoretical lens. We focus
on Latinx student validation and engagement by providing culturally enriching and
transformational programs that foster and promote holistic student success. We educate
students and campus members about Latinx traditions, culture, and issues impacting
the community. The center serves as a connection point to multiple internal and external
networks aimed at providing systems of support for Latinx identifying students.
